In the dead of winter, in the center of town, after dusk has fallen and the air is crisp and black as iced coffee, there emerges a warm glow. Every year it returns to delight residents and to spark the wonder of children and adults alike as the spirit of the holidays emerges – the Christmas lights in Heritage Square Park. This year experience the joy of the holiday season at the Christmas Bazaar. The City’s Main Street Program is hosting this year’s event at the Taylor City Hall auditorium located at 400 Porter St. Be sure to stay in town for the Christmas Parade of Lights!

The museum is housed in the restored birthplace of Texas governor Dan Moody, who gained fame by successfully prosecuting the Ku Klux Klan. The Victorian home contains many original furnishings donated by the Moody family.

These parks provide campgrounds, restrooms, picnic areas, boat ramps, and opportunities for shoreline fishing.
